“Kay’O is a songwriter and hip hop recording artist from Lynchburg, Virginia. Upon releasing his first Independent Album ‘The First 48’, he was featured in Hip Hop Weekly Indie Grind Spotlight which highlighted the song “Lane Switchin’”, this track along with 13 others on the album were produced by Dope Boi Beatz producer of “Don’t” by Bryson Tiller. Kay’O was born in California where he began learning the trades of the music business from his father during his adolescent years in Los Angeles. Eventually he would make the transition to Lynchburg with his family. During high school Kay’O began his musical endeavors and taking his music career serious. December of 2011 he released the mixtape ‘Let Me In’ which was his pitch to the music industry that he was ready for the game. This mixtape was followed up by ‘Let Me In, Vol. 2’ in May 2012. Kay’O decided to take his knowledge of the music business as well as his talents of crafting his own music and released his first Independent album titled ‘The First 48’ on October 20, 2014. During this time Kay’O established his own record label, Kay’O Musik LLC and it was under this imprint he release his first official album. Since this time Kay’O has worked with Progressive House record producer and DJ Zoe Buddha and was featured along with Ilisa Juried on the dance single “Let Go”. This year Kay’O follows up with the release of the singles “Her” an edgy RnBass/Rap blend and the EDM banger “Mind Blown”.
