“What I Like” is the leading single off of New Orleans hip hop artist JuneLH’s recently released EP titled Truth Prevail. The song is the perfect “I’m that n*gga” anthem for the summer, as June boastfully raps about his love for fast money, fast women, and good times. June is no stranger to the music game and has been rapping since 13 and doing shows since 16 after being heavily influenced by his musically inclined family. Coming from the streets of the Nola, June became intwined with street life as many do, but was able to make the decision to leave New Orleans and move to Baton Rouge to attend Louisiana State University and create a better future for himself.
After writing and performing for years, June finally released Truth Prevail in May 2018 and is dedicated in bringing back the griminess that the new age sounds are missing. Growing up listening to the sounds of Cash Money Records and the Hot Boyz, June’s mission is to restore New Orleans hip hop and show the industry that greatness can and will continue to be produced from the city known as the “Big Easy”.
